Tiger Woods is mad. Usually, when he is in the center of a controversy, he takes the high road. He did so when Fuzzy Zoeller, the Golf Channel’s Kelly Tilgman, and Sergio Garcia all made comments that were considered bordering on racist. But Brandel Chamblee, the Golf Channel’s analyst who has made a name for being hyper-critical of Woods, has the world’s No. 1 player fuming. Why? Chamblee inferred that Woods is a cheater, the ultimate insult. And instead of brushing it off, Woods made a passive-aggressive play for the network to discipline Chamblee.“All I am going to say is that I know I am going forward,” Woods said. “But then, I don’t know what the Golf Channel is going to do or not. But then that’s up to them. The whole issue has been very disappointing, as he didn’t really apologize and he sort of reignited the whole situation.“So the ball really is in the court of the Golf Channel and what they are prepared to do.”Woods was asked about Chamblee’s article he posted for Golf.com where he compared Woods’ rules infraction issues this year to him cheating on a test in school.Chamblee wrote in a Golf.com article that he gave Woods an “F” for the year, the same year he was named the player of the year.He wrote: “When I was in the fourth grade, I cheated on a math test and when I got the paper back it had ‘100’ written at the top and just below the grade, was this quote: ‘Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!’ It was an oft-quoted line from the epic poem ‘Marmion’ by Sir Walter Scott, and my teacher’s message was clear. Written once more beneath that quote was my grade of ‘100,’ but this time with a line drawn through it and beneath that an F. I never did ask my teacher how she knew I cheated and I certainly didn’t protest the grade. I knew I had done the wrong thing and my teacher the right, but I never forgot the way I felt when I read that quote.“I remember when we only talked about Tiger’s golf. I miss those days. He won five times and contended in majors and won the Vardon Trophy and … how shall we say this … was a little cavalier with the rules.”Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg hinted at actual legal action because of the idea that Woods bends the rules when he’s on the golf course. Steinberg was with Woods in China and said the Golf Channel should reprimand Chamblee, even if he didn’t make the comments during a Golf Channel broadcast.“I’m all done talking about it, and it’s now in the hands of the Golf Channel,” Steinberg said. “That’s Tiger’s view and that’s mine, and all we want to do is move forward. And whether the Golf Channel moves forward as well, then we’ll have to wait and see.”To this point, the Golf Channel has not commented on Chamblee’s column.

Angela Lang/CNET In a corner conference room, Han Jin, the CEO of Lucid, places an old iPhone 7 Plus on the table. He swipes through pages of apps, showing me what looks on all counts to be a normal iPhone with a screen protector on it. Then, he opens the Lucid app and plays a clip from Avatar in 3D. I look at him astonished, realizing he just made the iPhone 3D.This isn’t some magic trick, but rather a screen protector that can make the iPhone’s display, or pretty much any phone for that matter, show 3D. It works by using a special lenticular screen protector called the Holoscreen along with Lucid’s app. See It $999 Best Buy • 28 Photos See All Jun 1 • The Nubia Alpha looks like either a house arrest bracelet or Batman’s phone Mobile World Congress 2019 Boost Mobile Mobile Accessories Phones $999 Originally published Feb. 26, 12:01 a.m. PT.Updated, 10.30 a.m. PT. $999 May 13 • Galaxy S10E vs. iPhone XR: Every spec compared 4 reading • Turn iPhone, Pixel or Galaxy phone displays into 3D with this screen protector See it Comments MWC 2019: All the phones and gadgets we cared about Holoscreen is a screen protector that makes any phone… The screen looks normal when not using Lucid’s app. Email and texts are sharp and crisp. But with the app, I can view photos and videos in 3D, and the effect looks very smooth. I didn’t see the banding or ghosting that you see from some 3D screens such as those on the Nintendo 3DS.I can even take my own 3D photos and videos and share them using the app, too. The one caveat here is you need a phone with two rear cameras like the iPhone 7 Plus to do so.The two companies behind the Holoscreen are Holitech and Lucid. Holitech makes and supplies displays for midrange phones and Lucid makes AI-based 3D and depth capture software for phones. Notably Lucid partnered with Red on the 3D camera functionality on its Hydrogen One phone. The Holoscreen looks like a regular old screen protector and works as one. But when used with Lucid’s app, it turns your phone display into 3D. Angela Lang/CNET What’s remarkable is that really the only other phone with anything like this 3D-wise is the Red Hydrogen One, which sells for $1,295. One of the criticisms I had about the Red Hydrogen One was that you could only share 3D videos and photos with people who had their own Hydrogen One.The Holoscreen’s price is much less and will be around $30 to $40 — not much more than a normal screen protector. This affordable price should allow many people to try 3D out on a phone for the first time. The Holoscreen aims to be to 3D content what Google Cardboard is to VR.I don’t think the Holoscreen will transform anyone’s deep-seated beliefs or hatred for 3D. But for many people who are curious about 3D, this seems to be an affordable way to test the waters. And if you don’t like the 3D effect or stop watching content over time, the Holoscreen still works as a screen protector. The Holoscreen protector will go on sale this summer. According to the press statement issued by the president, there will be a deployment of two Council nominees at each main venue. The process of capturing video inside all the venues which was started from last year will also be done this year.
