first_imgBolton defender Matt Mills says he would love to stay at the club but reveals there have been no talks over a new deal to keep him at the Macron Stadium.Mills, 28, is out of contract at the end of the season and can walk away as a free agent. The ex-Reading mam was linked with a move to Fulham during the January transfer window but the move never materialised.Mills says he is relishing the chance to play under new manager Neil Lennon and hopes he will be given the chance to extend his stay at Bolton.Speaking in the The Bolton News, he said: “Of course I would [like to stay] – since the manager came in he’s been brilliant and it’s a great bunch of lads, so why not?“I’m loving my time here but contract talks haven’t really taken place.“If and when they do we’ll see if they are appreciated, or if my services are not required then my contract finishes in the summer. So all I can do is try and perform to the best I can and help the team any which way possible“I try not to get caught up in whatever talk has been going on. I just keep my phone to one side and concentrate on my football. If the time comes where there is a contract in front of me to sign, then I will sign it.“But that’s obviously not happened yet.” Bolton Wanderers defender Matt Mills 1last_img read more
